Joy journal 1

The best part of today was a sermon that didn't turn a blind eye to pain and suffering in this world but still kept Jesus as the anchor. That and a great nap in the afternoon while the boys made a fabulous Lego creation on Eva's table.

  1. Love it when the preaching "keeps it real". That is what helps the congregation. No sugar coating things. Life is difficult and everyone struggles. Keeping our eyes on Jesus is sometimes the only thing that keeps me from drowning. Love the picture! That is a great creation. ((hugs))

  2. Oh love the idea of a joy journal!!! I have struggled with joy so much because of many circumstances and I have to say thankfulnes has been the key joy. My husband preached a sermon series on suffering and I have to say it was my favorite series ever. Yesterday a guest preacher preached on Job's friends and how they were the trial in his trial. One of the most difficult things for me was my lack of supportive friends and those that judged harshly. I love when a sermon speaks so clearly. What a sweet picture of your boys:)

  3. Your children are so beautiful. I love how Eva's table is central to the activity.
