A Simple Child

I keep going back to this over and over again. I'm posting it here because I feel like the artist has captured the physical expression of the grief we have for our children who have died more accurately than any photograph ever could.

Miss you so much Eva. More than words can say. My heart is rendered afresh.

  1. Yes - even without the words, the picture is so descriptive. When people ask "how are you doing?" - sometimes it would be nice to hold up that picture just to express what my heart feels but words can't say.

  2. It really captures the absolute agony.

    1. Yes it does. Perhaps that is why I keep being drawn to it over and over. It captures something so real and raw that I could never write in a hundred years. A picture truly is worth a thousand words, sometimes.

  3. This is how we really feel all of the time, no matter how we mask it for the outside world.
